Save, Heal, Deliver, Disciple, & Send

Save, Heal, Deliver, Disciple, and Send are but two sides of the same coin -- the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Save, Heal, and Deliver refer to Luke 4: 18-19; Disciple and Send come from Matthew 28: 18-20.

Luke 4: 18-19 (All Scripture is NIV unless otherwise stated)

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,

19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”

Save

We believe that everyone needs to have saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; believing that He came to earth to live and die for us that we may have a right relationship with the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God says:

God's Love Is Revealed

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Man Is Sinful

John 3:18-19

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

Sin Has A Penalty

Rom 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christ Jesus Paid The Penalty

Rom 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Salvation Is A Free Gift

Eph 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast.

Christ Jesus Is Our Salvation

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

You Must Receive Him

John 1:12

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

John 3:36

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.”

Acts 2:38

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Here is a prayer you can use to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life:

“Lord Jesus, thank you for showing me how much I need you. Thank You for dying on the cross for me. Please forgive all my sins and failures. Make me clean and help me to start fresh with you. I now receive You into my life as my Savior and Lord. Help me to love and serve You with all my heart. Amen.”

You Have Everlasting Life

John 6:47

I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

1 John 5:12-13

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

If you have prayed and received Jesus as your Savior and Lord its time to find a church family you can be a part of and begin your journey as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Please contact us and let us know about your decision.

Heal and Deliver

We believe,“by Jesus’ stripes we are healed” and that Jesus came to set us free from our bondages.

We also belive that Jesus ment it when He told us to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). There is no sickness, no disease, no bondage, no addiction in heaven; therefore, there should be none on earth. We will pray for all who desire us to and our Father in heaven will heal and deliver them.

Matt 28:18-20

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Disciple

There are many opportunities for discipleship here at Metro FamilyLife Church, both formal and informal. During worship, kinship group, around the supper table, at the park, just being together and building relationships with each other and with our heavenly Father.

We want to help you have an intimate love relationship with God the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit and with those He places in you life. There will be times of training and opportunity for “doing the stuff” that Jesus did.

Send

Every believer is a supernatural minister of the Gospel of Power whom signs and wonders follow. Therefore, our everyday places should be our mission field. Every situation God places us in is an opportunity to help someone, see someone saved, healed, or delivered. Jesus was sent and as He lived life He ministered and so should we. His motivation was love and ours is to share that love with metro Birmingham and the nations.
